So, we're watching a movie the other night, a spooky new one involving mirrors and such, and there was a certain phrase that was yelled by the lead actor. OK, no big deal... Except that my 3 year old chose that moment to emerge from his room and hear it. We didn't realize just what he heard until we heard him saying "punkin weeoo beech". Now, to most people, it would seem innocent enough. When he repeated it over and over at a fast pace...well, it didn't sound so innocent. Take into consideration that his "f's" come out as p's and his "l's" come out as w's.
"Where did you hear that?"
"Nanny, hahahaha {repeat, repeat, repeat}"
"I don't want to hear that anymore from you or mama will wash your mouth out with soap!"
"okay"
So, I called the mother-in-law and told her. Of course she couldn't believe it so she speaks to him on the phone.
He tells her he heard of from Papa.
Afterwards, I got thinking of the movie and the part be must have heard.
My son, the sponge. I just can't believe what they pick up. Why can't he listen when it's time to pick up his toys????
