Hyper Children

Wow! My kid is so hyper at times. He's 3.5 and the questions that come out of him are crazy. Not crazy in the sence that he's coocoo, but crazy in amount of questions.

Where'd you get that shirt?
-At the store, bud.

What kind of store?
-Sears

What kind of Sears?
-At the mall, Sears in the mall.

What kind of mall?
-*sigh* the big mall, bud. You know, where Toys 'R Us, is? The toy store.

What kind of toy store?
-Ugh. Come on, bud. Stop.

Stop what, Mama?
-OMG! Why don't you go play with your cars, bud?

Why...Why do you want me to go play with my cars, I'm talking to you?
-Mommy needs to go downstairs and do a wash. Why don't you go talk to Daddy?

Okay, Mama!!

That was a conversation (one of many, many) that I've had recently with my boy. He's full of questions. Grant it, that's how children learn, but sometimes it just grates on my nerves. It's hard sometimes to stop and realize that he's still so young and he's still learning new things every day and is only curious.

When I find myself getting flustered with him, I stop and look at his innocent little face and I will try to change the conversation or distract him with his favorite toy or game.

It usually works for a little while, till the next question....
